I saw this interesting story on the Today show yesterday and wanted to share it. I didn't have a money addiction but I did have an unhealthy obsession with saving money back in 2009 and I thank God I am healed from it. I too found giving my money away to worthy causes and people a cure for my obsession. Personal finance is a passion for me, and I am well versed on the subject yet I have a lot more to learn about it. However, having a passion related to money can be hazardous but as long as you don't allow the love of money to consume you and have priority in your life it is a healthy passion. In sum, you have to like money but love God, Family, Health, People, etc.

Movie Review- ‘About Last Night’

The other night I went to an advanced screening of 'About Last Night' with my best friend and Mom. ‘About Last Night’ is a fast-paced romantic comedy about two couples navigating this thing called love. From dating, to relationships to crazy sex …it is all in this movie. This movie was not only well directed but well cast. Kevin Hart literally had me in tears laughing!

This movie hits theaters on Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect movie to see with your boo or girls. -Angelle

 We are "girls girls" in a 2014 world, our foundation is our Faith but we are still 80s babies navigating through the modern world of dating, finance, fashion, fitness, family, friends, cooking, vacations, tv and everything else your typical twenty somethings experience and we do it so fabulous and chic.

Windshield Wiper Prayer

Getting in my car for lunch today I noticed a piece of paper under my windshield wiper.  It was a prayer! It brightened my day, hope it brightens yours. -Angelle

The Gift of Singleness

A while back the single ministry at my church had a workshop titled ‘the Gift of Singleness’. My Pastor and First Lady spoke to us about being a Christian and single. One of the best quotes from the night came from my Pastor, “If you despise where you are, you will have problems trying to get where you are going”.

Notes from the workshop:

What is the gift of singleness? The gift of singleness is FREEDOM

F- focus on friendships/relationships

R- reach your career goals

E- enjoy life

E- experiment new things

D- disregard naysayers

O- optimistic and open

M- me/be you
