while back the single ministry at my church had a workshop titled ‘the Gift of
Singleness’. My Pastor and First Lady spoke to us about being a Christian and
single. One of the best quotes from the night came from my Pastor, “If you
despise where you are, you will have problems trying to get where you are going”.

What is the gift of singleness? The gift of singleness is
FREEDOM
F- focus on friendships/relationships
R- reach your career goals
E- enjoy life
E- experiment new things
D- disregard naysayers
O- optimistic and open
M- me/be you
“He (God) will give you the desires of your heart, but
you have to have him (God) in your heart.”
“God is never trying to take something from you; he’s
always trying to get something to you.”
My take away from the workshop was to enjoy your life no
matter what state (single or in a relationship) you are in! -Angelle
